Are the agreements really legally binding?

Contracts electronically signed in the Egreement service with e-ID (BankID, Mobile BankID) are legally binding under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council as they comply with Article 26 requirements with regard to advanced electronic signatures.

An advanced electronic signature must meet the following requirements:

It must be uniquely linked to the signatory.

The signatory must be identifiable through it.

It must be created on the basis of electronic signature creation data that the signatory can use with a high degree of reliability exclusively under his/her own control.

It must be linked to the data it is used to sign in such a way that any subsequent changes to the data can be detected.
