Written requirements for telemarketing to be introduced on 1 September 2018

From 1 September 2018, it will no longer be possible to conclude a contract orally if a seller of goods or services contacts a consumer by telephone. For a contract to be valid, the seller must send a written confirmation by email or post, after which the consumer must accept the contract. The aim of the new law is to strengthen consumer protection.
