Traditional signing by two parties to a contract requires either meeting and signing at the same time, or sending the contract by post between the parties. Electronic signing means that both parties can sign immediately and the contract can take effect immediately, without meeting and without having to wait for the draft contract to be mailed, signed and returned. So your customer and counterparty also experience a simpler, faster and more reliable process.

E-signing means signing a document or contract with a digital signature instead of the traditional way with a pen.

There are different ways to sign digitally and the solutions available in different countries may differ. The highest level of security is provided by e-identification, i.e. an electronic identification approved by banks and/or public authorities (e.g. BankID in Sweden). Egreement also offers the possibility of signing using a so-called "zip signature", where the parties sign on a tablet, mobile phone, card reader or similar. We have prioritised the most sophisticated solutions as we care about our customers' personal privacy and security in the transaction.

A contract must always be signed by a person, even when that person is acting as a representative of a company. When using an electronic signature solution, the same applies as for traditional paper signatures - each party to the contract uses his personal signature both in private and as a company representative.

E-ID is a method of electronic signature widely used for internet-based services and is considered highly secure. An eID can be used to identify oneself and to sign documents electronically, for example when declaring over the internet. On Egreement, you use your personal eID (BankID, Mobile BankID) both as a private individual and as a representative of your company.

To get an e-ID, you need a Swedish personal identity number. You can get an e-ID for free, but depending on who issues the e-ID, it may have a different name. Check the Swedish Tax Agency's website to find the different issuers of e-IDs. To get your e-ID, click on one of the links to the issuers, log in, and follow the instructions.

If the agreement has not been sent out for signature, changes can be made directly in the draft agreement. Once the agreement has been sent out for signature, it is locked for changes. If you want to change the text of the agreement after it has been sent out, you must make your changes in a new version of the agreement, in a new document.

Contracts electronically signed in the Egreement service with e-ID (BankID, Mobile BankID) are legally binding under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council as they comply with Article 26 requirements with regard to advanced electronic signatures.

An advanced electronic signature must meet the following requirements:

The signatory must be identifiable through it.

It must be created on the basis of electronic signature creation data that the signatory can use with a high degree of reliability exclusively under his/her own control.

It must be linked to the data it is used to sign in such a way that any subsequent changes to the data can be detected.

E-ID is based on technology that Swedish authorities and banks support. Security is very high. The risk of forgery or unauthorised persons being able to get hold of your contracts is very small. Such risks are actually greater with traditional paper contracts, as authentication rarely takes place and paper contracts can more easily be lost or fall into the wrong hands.

Egreement assumes no responsibility for the agreement made between two or more contracting parties, i.e. the content of the contract. An electronic signature is always legally binding, but as Egreement is usually not a party to your signed agreements (even if they are e-signed via our service), the signature will not apply to any claims against Egreement. All contracts are stored at Egreement on secure servers, with backup. Customers and contractors always have access to their contracts via our site.

No, I'm afraid not. Egreement offers a cloud service, which means that an internet connection is a prerequisite. The contracts always remain on our servers, but you can only access them when you are connected. Therefore, we recommend that you always keep a copy of the contract in paper form or on your own computer's hard drive.

To change the appearance, you need to be logged in as an administrator, then select "Settings" in the top left menu. A little further down the page, there are sections called "Email Notification Settings" and "Review Page Settings".

You can then make changes to the new draft before it is sent for signature.

If you are using a mobile device, one possible reason is that the combination of browser and mail client is causing problems. There are ways around this:

1. Use a computer to open the link in the email and initiate the signature
2. Force a specific browser on your mobile device to open the link in the email
3. Select "BankID on another device", fill in your personal ID number, click "Sign", then open the BankID app on your own and sign.

It is difficult to give a general answer as it depends on the current situation of the company. For example, how much you save depends on how the company manages its contracts today, how many contracts you write, what organisation you have around the contracting process and which parties you sign contracts with. When you have a sharp case in the Fastighetsägarna dokument, there is a button to sign the case. This button takes you to the Egreement system where the case from the Property Owners Document becomes an agreement. You fill in the people who will receive and sign the agreement, and then send it out. When the agreement is signed or receives other status updates, you will receive an email notification of this. Once the agreement is signed by all and closed, an email notification is delivered to all parties containing the agreement in PDF format.
